Part of my job entails looking for different materials, plants and objects for our projects. I thought it would be nice to share some of the places I go to get unique art for the garden. Johnson Nursery in Cookeville, Tennessee is a great nursey to go to to get large Proven Winner shrubs and perennials that are hard to find in Knoxville. Specifically, I go there to get double take quince or unique daylily. Every time I visit I cannot help but look at their large selection of bird baths. The nursery has a great array of art, statuary and containers that add some whimsey to the garden.
Willow Ridge in Oak Ridge, Tennessee is the place to go if you are into Koi fish. They have large stock available daily. I go there for miniature evergreens and large ceramic frost proof containers. There containers are very expensive but if you want a great selection to choose from it is the place in our area to go. The only place that is comparable is The Barn Nursery in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
