A GARDEN COLLECTION OVERGROWN –

Lakemoor Hills

The 5,000 square foot garden was a gardener’s plant collection. When the collector sold the home, the new homeowners were overwhelmed with the maintenance and the plants outgrew their space quickly. We came to the rescue offering three days of weeding, digging and cleaning up the garden. We spent an additional day giving the beds a clean edge with our edger machine and laying fresh mulch with a pre-emergent to help control the weeds.
There were some awesome plants in this gardener’s collection. My favorite was the woodland ruby anise-tree (Illicium mexicanum x floridanum album ‘Woodland Ruby’). It had nice evergreen foliage and beautiful red flowers blooming in April. The clean-up effort was rewarding work seeing the garden come back to life.
